WHAT IS PALS?
PALS stands for “Peer Assistance, Leadership, and Service.” The PALS Program is a peer-helping program in which selected high school students are trained to work as peer facilitators with younger students. The goal of PALS students is to model good choices, decisions, leadership, and behaviors in order to promote a positive and productive school experience for these elementary school students, for their peers, and for the larger community. The PALS work closely with neighborhood elementary schools as well as other community and school programs to reach this goal.
